Brian Humphrey is attorney at the law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend, the oldest personal injury firm in Texas. His practice is 100% devoted to civil litigation in both personal injury and commercial cases. His personal injury practice is devoted to representing plaintiffs in a wide variety of cases, including auto and trucking collisions, construction and industrial accidents, maritime injuries, liquor liability, and premises liability. Brian’s commercial litigation practice involves representing individuals, small and large businesses, and governments in diverse matters including commercial sales and leasing, partnership disputes, malfeasance by corporate officers and fiduciaries, fraud and business torts, oil and gas and other real estate disputes, and commercial debts.

Brian is a native of Ashland, Kentucky and was raised in Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2002, and in 2010 graduated cum laude from the Campbell University Law School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to joining Abraham Watkins in 2012, Brian clerked for the Honorable Lawrence "Larry" Weiman of the 80th District Court of Harris County, Texas. Before he came to Houston in 2011, Brian clerked for the Honorable Ann Marie Calabria of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

Brian is involved in the legal community as a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He frequently speaks and writes on issues related to personal injury and other civil litigation, and, along with his colleague Jay Jackson, is co-author of a running Texas Supreme Court Update presented at CLEs around the state.
