Lindsey Cheek is the founder and principal attorney at The Cheek Law Firm, which specializes in representation of victims of asbestos-related injuries such as mesothelioma, and lung cancer. Additionally, Ms. Cheek offers powerful representation for pharmaceutical/product liability injuries, personal injury, and for women who have developed ovarian cancer due to talcum powder exposure. Throughout the course of her practice, she has negotiated tens of millions of settlement dollars on behalf of her clients. Her current practice is located in New Orleans, Louisiana, but she has also litigated extensively in numerous other jurisdictions, including Texas, Mississippi, Florida, California, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington, Illinois, and South Carolina.
Ms. Cheek is an active member of the American Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Pro Bono Project of New Orleans, Tulane Inns of Court, and the Louisiana Association for Justice. Ms. Cheek currently mentors law students and is on the faculty at Tulane Law School's Trial Advocacy Program. Ms. Cheek also regularly hosts informative legal clinics for senior citizens at various community centers in the New Orleans area. She has been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences, and has also authored several published articles, which articulate her belief in access to the civil justice system for the clients she fights for on a daily basis. Ms. Cheek has also been named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 National Trial Lawyers. Ms. Cheek is licensed to practice law in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
When she’s not working, Ms. Cheek enjoys competing in nationwide triathlons and half Marathons. She has a black belt in karate and teaches kickboxing and other group fitness classes. She also enjoys yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
