A native of Harper Woods, Pamela Sossi began her education at Harper Woods High School, receiving her Diploma in 2002. Ms. Sossi’s passion for public service began in high school, where she served as the President of National Honor Society and was a member of Student Council. While at Harper Woods High School, Pamela also received the prestigious President's Award for Educational Achievement. She continued her education at the University of Michigan, where she was an active member of the Dean’s Emerging Leaders Program and the cooperative education program. During her undergraduate studies, Pamela discovered she had a passion for the law and began clerking for one of Michigan’s largest law firms, Bodman PLC; where she worked in the Banking and Real Estate section. In 2007, Pamela earned Bachelors of Arts degrees from Michigan in Political Science and Psychology and graduated with High Distinction Honors. Pamela continued her studies, working on her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, also at the University of Michigan.

In 2008, Pamela was accepted to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Although she attended school full-time, Pamela continued her job as a legal clerk at Bodman, PLC. In 2010, she interned as a judicial law clerk for United States District Court Judge Patrick Duggan, where she had the honor of drafting a Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals bench brief. While in law school, Pamela was a member of the the Moot Court Board of Advocates, where she argued and briefed constitutional law and civil rights matters; was an Editor of the Law Review; and was a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure. In 2011, Pamela received her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating in the top 5% of her class. In October 2011, Pamela passed the Michigan Bar Exam on her first attempt. Since receiving her license to practice law, Pamela has been fighting for the needs of her clients.

Pamela is an active supporter of the legal community. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, the Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar Association and participates in the American Inns of Court program. Pamela also supports a variety of causes in her community as a member of the Michigan Democratic Party, 14th Congressional District Democrats 100 Club, Grosse Pointe Democrats, National Association of Professional Women (Pamela received the 2012/2013 Woman of the Year award), Sierra Club, Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters. Recently, Pamela was named one of the Top 10 Attorneys Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys as well as being listed as a “Michigan Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.

Pamela currently owns her own business, The Law Office of Pamela M. Sossi, pllc. In addition to serving as legal counsel to her clients, Ms. Sossi also serves as a Public Defender in Wayne County, Detroit and Harper Woods. Pamela currently lives in Harper Woods with her second rescue Pit Bull, Ike.
