Kristin Joachim had sought $183,000 in her lawsuit, which she filed last April in Lane County Circuit Court.
She alleged that she was delivering mail on Sandy Drive when a Siberian husky named Yukon waylaid her on April 14, 2012. Jill Cole was walking the dog and had a toddler on her hip when Yukon jumped on Joachim and “viciously attack(ed) her without provocation,” according to the suit.

Decorated war hero Anthony Franzese has at least a million dollars coming his way via a pending lawsuit against the East Village apartment complex that let the air conditioner topple out a window and onto his head in 2010.

To the other extreme is a man who suffered a horrific theme park accident. Carlos Ibanez was hit by a roller coaster in August 2008 at the Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park located in Valencia, California. Ibanez suffered a traumatic brain injury in the roller coaster accident and sued Magic Mountain LLC for negligence. The first trial ended with a deadlocked jury.
